It is very important for you to protect your cast stone and pottery fountains, birdbaths, planters and statuary from the freeze-thaw cycle during the winter months. Ideally, cast stone and pottery décor that can collect water, should not be left outside when temperatures dip down to freezing. They should be stored indoors or in a dry protected place such as a covered porch or garage that is away from the elements. This is not always possible, so it is recommended that you completely dry out your décor and add a waterproof cover. This is because any cast stone or pottery component that can hold water and freeze has the potential to crack and crumble. Components such as fountain pedestals which remain in a basin/pool can also crack or crumble.

I was interested in hanging this foutain on a outdoor brick wall. Can I purchase the top half without the pedestal? Is it flat in the back or is it round?
This fountain is a wall fountain and meant to be propped up/supported by a wall. You can order individual parts for this fountain, however, we don’t recommend screwing any type of hardware into it to be able to hang it. This item is made of cast stone concrete and drilling into it could cause structural damage. Also, the bottom on the bowl component will not be very pretty where it is meant to connect to the pedestal and you would notice that if it were hung on a wall. We have never sold just the top component for this type of purpose and do not know if it would function properly, or even work in the desired space.
Because of these reasons, we cannot recommend that you purchase just the top component to hang on your wall.
